What brings people together.
Anything that represents a beloved community is a source of inspiration for me - as far flung as the mudflats of the Nisqually River; a tavern in northern Michigan, my home state; a Ross Gay poem "To the Fig Tree at 9th and Christian"; milkweed as an indicator of globaal monarch migration; and families of Cooper's Hawks traced by the birders of the Seattle Urban Raptor Conservancy.
By blocking out abstract shapes and forms I hope to prompt people to bring and build their own stories, ideas and conversations. I look forward to talking with you!
